PTSD
別名: 心的外傷後ストレス障害
恐ろしい出来事を体験したり目撃したりした後に、心身が回復できない障害です。

この状態は、心的外傷（トラウマ）の記憶を呼び戻す引き金（トリガー）となる出来事によって特有の症状が起こるもので、数カ月から数年継続し、激しい感情的反応と身体的反応を伴います。
症状には悪夢、フラッシュバック（突然、過去の記憶が浮かび上がる）、心的外傷を起想させる状況の回避、刺激に対する反応の激化、不安感、抑圧された気分などがあります。
治療には、各種心理療法のほか、症状を抑制する薬剤の服用などがあります。
